Current Job Oportunities
We are seeking a UK Trainer & Product Specialist to join our ambitious and growing team helping to enhance sales and marketing activities, including interacting with and supporting our Sales, Marketing and Product Development teams with efforts to promote ChamSys products and to educate, support and train lighting designers, specifiers, current and prospective customers, end users and other market participants on ChamSys products.
Main Responsibilities:Â
- Assist Sales, Marketing, Product Development and other Company teams with product demonstrations, responding to customer questions and other activities in connection with the promotion and sale of ChamSys products.
- Work with our UK Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Product Support and other Company teams to provide product training (in-person and on-line) to customers, end users, lighting designers, specifiers and other market participants.
- Collect feedback/intel from lighting designers, specifiers, end users, customers and other market participants to understand their needs, build relationships, secure product specification opportunities and to stay abreast of competitor products and new technologies.
- Assist with the organization and execution of tradeshows, dealer shows, road shows, exhibits and other events where ChamSys products will be promoted.
- Travel to and participate on behalf of the Company at UK and some EU based trade shows, road shows, exhibits and other locations where ChamSys and/or competitor products are promoted to keep apprised of competitor products and build and enhance relationships with sales representatives, customers, lighting designers, specifiers and other market participants.
Essential Skills:
- Excellent communication, technical & problem-solving skills.
- Must have a good understanding of the entertainment lighting and lighting control market, including concert/touring, theatre, broadcast, house of worship, corporate, etc.
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills, including on camera.
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively in a high pressure, deadline driven environment.
- Microsoft office/ teams
- UK Driving license
Desirable Experience:
- Good working knowledge of ChamSys products, MagicQ and QuickQ software and entertainment lighting and programming.
- Experience in training internal and external customers on ChamSys products.

We are seeking a Mobile Software Engineer to join our ambitious and growing team and help us build software for a range of mobile platforms including iOS and Android. We have a small but growing R&D team based in Southampton and our engineers are involved in the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.Â
Main Responsibilities:Â
- Build and maintain our current range of mobile apps on iOS and Android.Â
- Develop new iOS and Android applications for our product range.Â
- Share knowledge and learning with other members of the software team.Â
Essential Skills:Â
- At least 2 years professional experience in mobile app development.Â
- Excellent communication, technical & problem-solving skills.Â
- Knowledge of iOS and Android development.Â
- Experience in cross-platform development using C++ and QML in Qt.Â
- Experience of Apple and Android app store deployment.Â
Desirable Experience:Â
- Using tools such as Git and GitLab.Â
- Developed apps which are live on the app store.Â
- JavaScript/HTML5 development experience.Â
- Developing on Linux, macOS, Windows.Â
- Agile/Scrum development process experience.Â

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join our ambitious and growing team and help us build software for a range of hardware platforms. We have a small but growing R&D team based in Southampton and our engineers are involved in the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.Â
Main Responsibilities:Â
- Design, develop and support solutions for our bespoke products.Â
- Design and develop our applications user interface.Â
- Create high and low-level software design using recognised methodologies.Â
- Ensure software can be built on our continuous build system.Â
- Produce documentation including requirements, change notes and user manuals.Â
- Prepare and implement suitable test strategies.Â
- Assist the support team with troubleshooting technical issues, developing and implementing corrective actions as needed.Â
- Share knowledge and learning with other members of the software team.Â
Essential Skills:Â
- At least 3 years professional experience in Software Engineering.Â
- Experience developing in C/C++.Â
- Excellent communication, technical & problem-solving skills.Â
Desirable Experience:Â
- Knowledge or experience of developing in Qt.Â
- Experience of networking, USB and implementing communication protocols.Â
- Using source control and CI systems such as GitLab, Git or Atlassian tools.Â
- Agile/Scrum development process experience.Â
